Jessika Roswall began her official visit to Chisinau on Monday, 29 June, by attending the first edition of the Green Finance and Investment Forum Moldova 2026.

The event builds on the dialogue launched during the EU–Moldova Investment Conference on 4 June, where investment plans and project initiatives worth up to €641 million were announced.

“Green investments are about better-managed water resources, greater energy efficiency and communities that are better prepared for the future. They contribute to the modernization of the Republic of Moldova and its gradual alignment with European Union standards,” representatives of the EU Delegation to Moldova said.

During her visit, the European Commissioner is scheduled to hold meetings with President Maia Sandu, members of the government, as well as representatives of environmental organizations, young people and women leaders. The discussions will focus on environmental protection, sustainable water resource management and advancing Moldova’s European integration.

On Tuesday, the second day of her visit, Roswall will travel to Capriana, where she will visit the wastewater treatment plant, the newly built sewerage network and Capriana Monastery, which has recently been connected to the new infrastructure.
