Another drone violated the airspace of the Republic of Moldova on Saturday morning, August 22, the Ministry of Defense reported.
According to the ministry, the incident was recorded at 4:07 a.m. Specialized units of the National Army, together with partner institutions, detected and tracked the flight. Preliminary information indicates that the aircraft was a Shahed-138 (Geran-3) drone.
The drone crossed the state border from Ukraine, entering Moldovan airspace from the direction of Krutoyarovka, Odesa region, and flying toward the village of Caplani, Stefan Voda district.
The aircraft left Moldova’s airspace at 4:24 a.m.
The unauthorized flight occurred amid Russian attacks on Ukraine launched overnight, the Ministry of Defense said.
