Sandu wants a closer collaboration with British legal institutions to punish “fugitives from the diaspora”

The political, economic and security challenges faced by our country as a result of the invasion of the Russian Federation in Ukraine, the consequences of the war for the region, but also Moldovan-British relations were discussed today, August 30, by the president of the country, Maia Sandu, with a group of deputies of the Parliament of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, who are on a working visit to Chisinau.

The Head of State expressed her appreciation for the dynamic cooperation between our countries in the economic, educational, security or defense sectors.

Maia Sandu also mentioned that the Republic of Moldova is interested in new partnerships with Great Britain, which would contribute to the development of trade and investments.

Also, the president expressed her hope for a closer collaboration between legal institutions to fight corruption and bring to justice those who stole and removed state assets from the country.
