The difficult energy situation and the economic implications of the war that significantly affected the population were the topics discussed by the country’s president, Maia Sandu, with the president of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola.
During the discussions, the two officials also addressed the actions that the authorities undertake to fulfill the country’s commitments in the process of joining the European Union.
“President Maia Sandu thanked for the support offered in recent months by the European partners and expressed confidence that our country will continue to be supported to face the unprecedented energy crisis”, the announcement of the Presidency states.
