The Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Nicu Popescu, is making two working visits to Tallinn, Estonia and Riga, Latvia, between January 4 and 5, to deepen the Moldovan-Estonian and Moldovan-Latvian bilateral dialogue, discuss the European agenda and topics regional news.
On January 4, in Tallinn, Minister Nicu Popescu will meet with Urmas Reinsalu, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Estonia, with whom he will discuss the bilateral cooperation agenda, the European integration of our country, the reform process in the Republic of Moldova and the regional situation in the context of the unjust war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine. The heads of the two diplomats will also examine ways to strengthen the bilateral relationship, especially in the field of digitization and cyber security.
Also, the work program will include meetings with Hanno Pevkur, the Estonian Minister of Defense, Andres Sutt, the chairman of the parliamentary committee for foreign affairs of the Estonian Parliament, and also with the representatives of the International Center for Security and Defense, Indrek Kannik and Kristi Raik.

On January 5, in Riga, the Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popescu will have meetings with Edgars Rinkēvičs, the Latvian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Zanda Kalniņa-Lukaševica, the Vice-President of the Parliament of Latvia with the participation of the President of the Committee for Foreign Affairs Rihards Kols and the Vice-President of the Committee for European Affairs Uģis Rotbergs but also with Jānis Sārts, director of the NATO Center of Excellence in Strategic Communication.
On January 5, from 1:30 p.m., the foreign ministers Nicu Popescu and Edgars Rinkēvičs will hold a press conference.
As part of the agenda of the visits to Tallinn and Riga, the Moldovan official will also meet with representatives of analytical centers and local journalists.
