A new 52 million euro grant for Moldova from the EU

The Republic of Moldova and the European Commission will sign two new non-refundable financial assistance agreements for our country in the total amount of 52 million euros. The Foreign Policy and European Integration Commission gave an advisory opinion for the initiation of negotiations and the approval of the signing of the two agreements.

The financing agreement provides for the granting by the EU to our country of aid of 27 million euros for the “EU for Reforms” Program. Priority areas for European assistance are population and reproductive health policies and programmes; governance and civil society; peace and security.

Another 25 million euros will be granted for the “EU Recovery and Resilience” Program, which contains three priorities: resilience, sustainable and integrated economy; environmental and climate change resilience; resilient, fair and inclusive societies.

The draft law is to be submitted to consultations by the deputies, and then approved.
