A new energy crisis on the left bank of the Dniester: gas saving measures are introduced

In the Transnistrian region, a gas-saving regime will be applied for a week and a half, announced the so-called Minister of Economy in Tiraspol, Serghei Obolonik.

According to him, the measure is temporary and will not affect household consumers.

“For people, nothing changes during this period. Homes, schools, and hospitals will continue to receive electricity as usual, and gas will remain available in households,” Obolonik stated.

The decision was taken due to “unfavorable external circumstances.” During this time, priority will be given to electricity production for the population and social institutions.

After the week and a half, all consumers — including businesses and the heating sector — will again receive gas under normal supply conditions, in line with the heating season schedule, Obolonik promised.
