Nearly 14,000 people with residence in the Transnistrian region are officially employed on the right bank of the Dniester, according to data from the State Tax Service presented by the Reintegration Policies Bureau.

In 2025, there were 13,810 officially registered employees from the region. Of these, 57.6 percent were men (7,950 people) and 42.4 percent were women (5,860 people).

More than 80 percent of these employees work in the municipality of Chișinău. A significant share — over 54 percent — come from Tiraspol, Bender, Slobozia, and other nearby localities.

Authorities note that nearly 94 percent of these employees work under individual employment contracts, which indicates legal labor relations and their inclusion in the public social insurance system.

The main sectors employing people from the Transnistrian region include retail trade, transport, secondary education, construction, manufacturing, as well as the medical and pharmaceutical fields.
