The Reinvent Moldova 2.0 event, organized by Realitatea Media Group on April 30 in Chisinau, brings together prominent figures from various fields. Ana Revenco will join the panel dedicated to “Resilience” as a key participant.
Ana Revenco ranks among the most influential figures in national security in the Republic of Moldova. She has built her career on strengthening state institutions and countering modern threats, including disinformation. She currently leads the Center for Strategic Communication and Combating Disinformation, a key institution that enhances the country’s information resilience.
Parliament appointed her to this position on October 19. She previously served as Minister of Internal Affairs from August 6, 2021, to July 14, 2023, where she managed complex security challenges and promoted reforms aligned with European standards.
She also advised Maia Sandu on defense and national security and served as Secretary of the Supreme Security Council of Moldova, contributing to the development of national strategies.
Ana Revenco has also built strong international experience. She served as a member of the GRETA within the Council of Europe, where she helped evaluate policies to combat human trafficking. She founded the La Strada Moldova International Center, which focuses on human rights protection and preventing exploitation, and she led it for several terms.
Within the Ministry of Internal Affairs, she coordinated the Center for Combating Trafficking in Persons under the General Police Inspectorate of Moldova, contributing to the implementation of the EU–Moldova Action Plan on visa liberalization.
Her participation in Reinvent Moldova 2.0 highlights the importance of national resilience in a complex regional context shaped by security risks and challenges. Her speech is expected to provide a clear perspective on how Moldova can strengthen its institutions and protect its information space on its path toward European integration.
