During a farewell visit to the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland, Moldova’s Ambassador to Sweden, Liliana Gutan, reaffirmed the shared commitment between the two countries.
She emphasized their dedication to strengthening cooperation in areas such as good governance, education, trade, and European integration. Gutan also holds accreditations for Iceland, Norway, and Finland. IPN reports on the visit.
“I deeply appreciate Finland’s firm and consistent support for Moldova’s European path,” wrote the ambassador on her Facebook page.

She valued the open dialogue, trusted partnership, and support offered by Ambassadors Maimo Henriksson (Embassy of Finland in Sweden) and Leena Anneli Liukkonen (Embassy of Finland in Bucharest, also accredited to Moldova).
In mid-April, the government recalled Liliana Gutan to Chisinau.
As a career diplomat, Liliana Gutan has 15 years of experience at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration. She previously served in Moldova’s diplomatic missions in the United States and Greece.
