Austria will send policemen and soldiers to Moldova to participate in the EU civil mission

By the end of the year, Austria will send police and soldiers to the Republic of Moldova to help local structures strengthen their capabilities in the fight against disinformation and cyber attacks.

For this purpose, Austria will provide up to five police officers and three members of the Austrian armed forces. And also four experts from the Ministry of the Interior transmits europalibera.org.

Up to 30 members of the Austrian armed forces should also arrive in Chisinau to provide support in the field of air transport.

They will become part of the EU partnership mission in the Republic of Moldova. It was officially launched in Chisinau on 31 May.

The mission, created at the request of the Chisinau government, is aimed at helping to strengthen the crisis management structures of the Republic of Moldova and increase its resilience to hybrid threats, including in terms of cyber security and countering actions to manipulate information from abroad and foreign interference.
