Law enforcement authorities are conducting searches targeting representatives of the “Shor Group” and the “Victory Block,” both founded by fugitive oligarch Ilan Shor. The Prosecutor’s Office for Combating Organized Crime and Special Cases (PCCOCS) and the General Police Inspectorate (IGP) confirmed the operations through their spokespersons, Emil Gaitur and Mariana Betivu, respectively, reports IPN.
The searches are taking place across several localities in the Republic of Moldova, including Orhei. They are part of a criminal investigation into electoral corruption, illegal financing of political parties, and money laundering.
“We will provide more details as the criminal proceedings progress,” stated Emil Gaitur.
