The State Tax Service has frozen the assets of Gagauzia Governor Eugenia Gutsul and four individuals from Ilan Shor’s inner circle. Olga Golban, head of the Tax Service, signed the decisions on May 22. The Official Gazette published the measures on May 30, 2025.
Officials froze Gutsul’s share in a property and blocked six rooms owned by her advisor, Iurii Cuznetov. They also froze two rooms belonging to Nelli Parutenco, Ilan Shor’s accountant.
In a more extensive action, authorities blocked 13 assets owned by controversial politician Chiril Guzun, including rooms, buildings, and land. Dumitru Chitoroaga, the administrator of several Shor-linked television stations, had one room and shares in 25 plots of land frozen.
