President Maia Sandu held a meeting with the Azerbaijani Ambassador to Moldova, Gudsi Osmanov, who is completing his diplomatic mission in Moldova.
Maia Sandu thanked the Azerbaijani ambassador for the efforts undertaken to consolidate relations between the two countries and, as a sign of high appreciation for the good cooperation between Moldova and Azerbaijan, as well as for Moldova’s support during the crisis, awarded Gudsi Osmanov with the “Order of Honor”.
During the meeting, the president emphasized the importance of boosting cooperation in several fields and increasing the trade turnover. She also welcomed the opening of direct flights between Baku and Chisinau by Azerbaijan Airlines on September 15.
