For the upcoming parliamentary elections on 28 September 2025, voters from the left bank of the Nistru River and the city of Bender/Tighina will be able to vote at 12 polling stations, the Central Election Commission (CEC) announced during its meeting on 24 August.
The CEC also approved the establishment of 301 polling stations abroad, including 4 stations for Moldovan citizens in the USA, Canada, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Japan, South Korea, Australia, and New Zealand who choose to vote by mail.
Regarding candidate registrations, the CEC:

- Registered 56 candidates from the Liberal Party, including their electoral symbol.
- Registered 66 candidates from the “Blocul Unirea Națiunii” (Union of the Nation Electoral Bloc).
- Rejected the registration request from the New Historic Option Political Party, citing one candidate’s ineligibility under Article 16(2)(c) of the Electoral Code, which reduced the representation quota and revealed affiliations with the former unconstitutional “Shor” Party.
- Rejected the request from the “Speranța – Надежда” (Hope) Professional Movement, as their list of 7 candidates did not meet the legal requirement of 51–111 candidates.
- Amended the registration of the “Patriotic Electoral Bloc of Socialists, Communists, Inima and the Future of Moldova”, removing 4 candidates and adding 11.
- Amended the registration of the Political Party Coalition for Unity and Well-being, adding 7 candidates to their list.
The CEC emphasized that these measures ensure compliance with the Electoral Code and aim to guarantee fair and transparent parliamentary elections.
