Between December 20 and January 15, during the winter holidays, Chisinau International Airport is expected to experience high traffic and a large influx of passengers. To avoid inconveniences and delays, the airport authorities have issued several recommendations for travelers, reports IPN.
Passengers should arrive at the airport three hours before their scheduled departure time.
“This time frame is necessary to complete all formalities, including check-in, security screening, and border control,” warn authorities.
Special attention should be given to security screening preparations.
“Liquids and cosmetics must be stored in containers of no more than 100 ml and placed in a transparent, resealable bag with a maximum capacity of one liter. Laptops and tablets must be removed from carry-on luggage before screening,” notes the airport administration.

To avoid unpleasant situations passengers are advised not to carry prohibited items such as knives, scissors, or lighters.
Comfortable clothing and footwear can make passing through security checks easier.
“Opting for a comfortable outfit can save time and reduce stress,” airport representatives emphasize.
Regarding border regulations, passengers should have all necessary documents readily available.
“Passports, ID cards, and boarding passes should be presented promptly when requested, and instructions from border staff must be followed carefully,” the recommendations highlight.
