The capital of the Republic of Moldova has earned a spot among the best cities in Europe for ”workcation”—a concept that blends work with vacation in a flexible way. A new study by Compare the Market AU ranks Chisinau 8th on this list, reports IPN.
Mayor Ion Ceban emphasized that this is an impressive result, considering the city’s size and its developing infrastructure.
To compile the ranking, Compare the Market AU analyzed several factors that can influence a city’s appeal for a workcation, including internet speed, availability of co-working spaces, number of tourist attractions, and the cost of everyday beverages.

Chisinau attracts freelancers and employees who want to combine work with leisure, offering an internet speed of 73.88 Mbps and a low cost of living compared to other European cities.
The study identified nine co-working spaces in the city. Coffee costs the equivalent of €1.39, and beer just €1.25—the lowest prices among the top 10 cities. Additionally, Chisinau boasts 277 tourist attractions, perfect for unwinding after work.
