Moldova’s civil servants will participate in two European programs following an agreement signed today in Brussels by Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Cristina Gherasimov and European Commissioner for Budget and Administration Johannes Hahn.
The agreement allows experts from Moldova’s public institutions to join the NEPT (National Experts in Professional Training) and SNE (Seconded National Experts) programs. “This marks another important step toward modernizing our public administration. The NEPT and SNE programs will help us build efficient institutions and better prepare civil servants to contribute to Moldova’s European agenda,” said Cristina Gherasimov.
Under the agreement, the program will second Moldovan civil servants twice a year for periods of three to five months. During this time, they will learn firsthand about the work and policies of the European Commission, enabling them to apply their knowledge and professional experience in practice.
Gherasimov highlighted that Moldova is the first country in the negotiation process to benefit from these programs.
