The European Social-Democratic Party (PSDS) has demanded the exclusion of the “Great Moldova” party from the parliamentary race, citing serious violations of campaign financing rules revealed by a NordNews investigation.
In a formal complaint submitted to the Central Electoral Commission (CEC), the PSDS also asked for the examination of the “Patriotic” Bloc and the “Alternative” Bloc. The party urged the CEC to notify law enforcement if the evidence points to criminal or administrative violations and to apply the sanctions provided by law.
“It is unacceptable to have parties funded from abroad and networks coordinated from Moscow manipulating public opinion and undermining democracy in the Republic of Moldova. We ask the responsible institutions to intervene immediately and restore legality,” the PSDS stated.
