Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Cristina Gherasimov, met with European Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos, in Brussels to discuss key developments on the European agenda and finalize preparations for the EU Growth Plan for Moldova’s official signing.
The two officials also coordinated details for Commissioner Kos’s upcoming visit to Moldova, scheduled for May 9–11.
“We finalized several details regarding the Commissioner’s second visit to Moldova when she will visit communities in the north, center, and south to better understand towns, customs, and people,” Gherasimov wrote on her Facebook page.

Gherasimov is currently in Brussels for Chapter 29 of Moldova’s EU accession process assessment, which focuses on the Customs Union. The bilateral screening session included representatives from Moldova and the European Commission.
During her visit, Gherasimov also participated in the international conference A New Joint Chapter for EU Enlargement, held at the invitation of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats, the second-largest political group in the European Parliament.
