Daniel Voda Condemns Orchestrated Protest Aimed at Undermining Moldova’s European Path

Government spokesperson Daniel Voda responded today to a protest organized outside the government building by supporters of a political party, criticizing the demonstration as part of a recurring campaign orchestrated by external sponsors to derail Moldova’s European integration.

“Protests with pre-written slogans and orchestrated intentions—often coordinated from abroad—are periodically revived by sponsors who oppose Moldova’s path toward the European Union,” Voda stated.

He accused the protesters of using democratic freedoms to undermine trust in institutions and to spread divisive messages, rather than seeking real solutions for the agricultural sector.

“Instead of constructive dialogue, they chose to fuel public distrust and promote rhetoric that divides society,” Voda said.

The spokesperson pointed out that although the protesters claim to defend farmers’ rights, the government has prioritized agriculture in recent years.

“We’ve allocated the largest agricultural budget in Moldova’s history. Subsidy programs continue and are paid on time, while European initiatives, including those under the EU Growth Plan, are delivering direct investments to rural areas,” he noted.

Voda emphasized that while some resort to theatrics, the government remains focused on development and stability.

“The truth is simple: we build, while others shout. We offer solutions, while others put on a show. Our path remains clear—development, investment, and care for citizens,” he concluded.

“No one will divert us from this direction.”

Earlier today, supporters of a political party gathered outside the government building, voicing dissatisfaction with current policies and the government’s European orientation.
