The Defence Minister warns that although all four aircraft that illegally flew through the airspace of the Republic of Moldova last night left the country’s territory within a short period of time, the incursions posed a risk to citizens’ safety.
According to the official, the incidents occurred on the night of October 15–16, amid attacks by the Russian Federation against Ukraine. One of the aircraft repeatedly crossed the country’s airspace.
Anatolie Nosatîi stated that any violation of airspace represents a threat to national security and noted that the authorities continue to monitor the situation.
The Defence Minister condemned every violation of the country’s airspace that endangers the security of the Republic of Moldova.
