The announcement was made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs after a discussion today between Minister Nicu Popescu and his Danish counterpart, Lars Løkke Rasmussen.
“This discussion is prompted by a special occasion, namely the announcement of the opening of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Denmark in Chisinau at the beginning of 2024. The diplomatic mission will play an important role in the development and consolidation of political, economic, and cultural ties between our countries, a message conveyed by Nicu Popescu to his Danish counterpart,” said the statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
This year, several countries, including the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Belgium, Greece, and Spain, have opened or will soon open embassies in the Republic of Moldova.
“This underlines the importance our country holds in the region and the strengthening of relationships with the member states of the European Union,” emphasizes the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
