Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization Doina Nistor has pledged to continue digitalizing the economy and aims to boost GDP by 2-3% in 2025.
Before today’s cabinet meeting, Nistor emphasized that digitalization can simplify entrepreneurs’ lives, and she remains committed to this initiative.
“Our historic opportunity lies in integrating into the European Union’s single market, including the digital economy. We are joining the EU’s value chains and encouraging our entrepreneurs to expand into global markets,” Nistor stated.

Regarding 2024, she acknowledged uncertainties related to climate and geopolitical conditions but affirmed, “We are planning for 2-3% GDP growth and will make every effort to strengthen the country’s economy.”
Doina Nistor assumed her role last week following the resignation of Dumitru Alaiba.
