Mihai Popsoi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova, met in Paris with Bruno Fuchs, the President of the Foreign Affairs Committee, and Pieyre-Alexandre Anglade, the President of the European Affairs Committee of the National Assembly of France.
“I welcomed the growing Moldovan-French parliamentary dialogue and the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova and the French National Assembly on June 30, 2023. I also praised the active cooperation between our parliamentary committees and the recent formation of the France–Moldova Friendship Group after the 2024 elections,” said the Deputy Prime Minister.
During the meeting, Popsoi thanked France for supporting Moldova’s European Union accession process, providing expertise, and offering political support at the European level.

“I highlighted the importance of continuing close cooperation on recognizing driving licenses and social protection. We hope the National Assembly will soon ratify the Agreement on converting driving licenses, which will benefit Moldovan citizens and ease their mobility in France.
I’m confident we will strengthen our bilateral ties further and, with France’s help, make progress on Moldova’s European integration,” added Mihai Popsoi.
Meanwhile, President Maia Sandu is on a working visit to France. Her agenda includes an official meeting with President Macron to discuss bilateral cooperation, France’s support for Moldova’s European path, and European security.
