Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popsoi to attend Munich Security Conference

From the 16th to the 18th of February, Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popsoi, alongside the Minister of Foreign Affairs, will participate in the prestigious 60th Munich Security Conference.

This distinguished gathering will convene over 50 heads of state and government, accompanied by more than 100 ministers from across the globe.

“The agenda for this year’s conference encompasses crucial discussions on Europe’s pivotal role in security and defense, the ramifications of Russia’s aggressive actions against Ukraine, reimagining the global order, the security implications of climate change, and various other pertinent topics,” articulated Mihai Popsoi.

Additionally, on the sidelines of the conference, the Deputy Prime Minister will engage in a series of bilateral meetings with counterparts, parliamentarians, and leaders of international organizations. “These dialogues will delve into pressing issues on the international stage, including vulnerabilities exacerbated by the current global landscape, avenues for enhancing bilateral collaboration, and our nation’s trajectory within Europe,” the official underscored.
