Dimitriana Bezede climbs the podium in Belgrade. She achieved the best result in the shot put

Athlete Dimitriana Bezede won the gold medal at the Balkan Indoor Athletics Championship in Belgrade, Serbia. She triumphed in the shot put event, recording a result of 17.09 meters.

Three other Moldovan athletes participated in the competition. Alexandr Mazur, in his first senior competition, set a new personal record with a throw of 19.14 meters.

Mihaela Botnari finished fifth in the 1500-meter race with 4:41.23, while Anastasia Senchiv placed ninth in the triple jump with a mark of 13.03 meters.

“The results of our athletes demonstrate the progress of Moldovan athletics on the international stage. Dimitriana Bezede’s victory is a new confirmation of our potential,” stated the National Olympic and Sports Committee.
