On July 23, 2024, in Chisinau, Sergiu Mihov, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, met with Claus Neukirch, Director of Program Coordination at the Council of Europe. The two officials exchanged views on the new Council of Europe Action Plan for Moldova (2025-2028) and discussed the organization’s support for Moldova’s European path.
They reviewed the projects to be included in the upcoming action plan. These projects align with Moldova’s objectives related to human rights reforms, democracy, and the rule of law, viewed through the lens of priorities linked to the European Union integration process. The strategic cooperation document will be implemented with the generous support of the EU and the Council of Europe’s member and observer states.
The Council of Europe Action Plan (2025-2028) will be the fifth such document for our country. The Council of Europe and national authorities have agreed to continue their collaboration to implement the most important reform packages.
