On October 20, Promo-LEX observers reported 175 cases of ballot paper photography, one of the most common violations during both the presidential election and the referendum.
In addition to taking photos, several voters illegally displayed their marked ballot papers at polling stations. According to the Central Electoral Commission, the Contravention Code imposes fines of up to 30 conventional units for photographing ballots or publicly revealing one’s vote.
The monitoring mission also recorded 61 instances of unjustified group voting. Regarding electoral corruption, there were 17 preliminary cases of attempted or alleged vote-selling and 11 cases of organized voter transportation.
By 10:00 PM on October 20, Promo-LEX observers had reported a total of 1,188 incidents. The data remains preliminary.
