Do you want to launch a social business or develop an existing one? FEE announces repeated grant competition

The East European Foundation (FEE), with the support of the European Union and Sweden, announces the repeated Grant Competition for the creation or development of social enterprises. This contest replaces the grant contest organized between October 31, 2022 and November 25, 2022, which was canceled. The deadline for submitting project proposals is March 20.

Organizations interested in launching a social enterprise or those who manage a social business and want to develop it are encouraged to apply to the repeated grant competition. Organizations that submitted projects between October 31, 2022 and November 25, 2022 can also apply to the repeated grant competition.

According to FEE, the total amount for the grant competition is 375,000 euros. The maximum amount offered per project will not exceed 37,500 euros. The project implementation period will not exceed 18 months.

Within the grants competition, non-profit (non-commercial) organizations from both banks of the Dniester can apply with project proposals; civil society organizations, e.g.: public associations, foundations, community organizations, non-commercial institutions. Applicants directly responsible for the preparation and management of the project, without acting as an intermediary, are eligible for the competition.

The grant competition will take place in two stages:

  • Evaluation of the file;
  • Evaluation of business plans and projects.

The grant competition is organized within the framework of the project “Using the potential of civil society for the promotion and development of social entrepreneurship in the Republic of Moldova”, financed by the European Union and co-financed by Sweden.
