Seven people from abroad provided funds to the Chance party during the election campaign for the local elections in 2023. This was reported by the control group set up by the Central Electoral Commission to check the financing of the political organization.
The CEC explained that the party’s representatives did not provide the necessary data, while cases of violations were filed against Alexei Lungu and some donators.
According to the report, the financial receipts to the “Chance” party during the election campaign amounted to 3.1 million lei. In addition, they received cash donations from MDL 1,000 to MDL 15,000 from 450 people.

The working group also found that 70 people donated property, goods, or services to the party. Their value is estimated from 0.13 to 13,440 lei.
Out of more than 480 “donators” to the party, 71 had no or little official income in 2022.
The comprehensive audit was conducted from November 17, 2023, to January 17, 2024. According to the CEC, the party representatives did not appear at the field session, did not assist in the control, and did not provide the requested documents.
