From November 3 to 6, 2025, a delegation from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova (CCI RM) is carrying out an economic mission in Brussels, Belgium, to strengthen Moldovan-European economic partnerships and promote local companies on the European Union market.

Sergiu Harea, President of the CCI RM, leads the delegation, which includes representatives of five member companies — MOLDCELL SA, BUCURIA SA, DALMORS-GRUP SRL, TABURNA-COM SRL, and SDS EKIP SRL. The team also includes Dorin Budeanu, Director of the Ungheni Branch of the CCI RM, and Ana-Maria Zorila, representative of the International Relations Department.

The mission began on November 3 with a series of official meetings. The delegation paid its first visit to the Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in the Kingdom of Belgium, where Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Viorel Cibotaru and his team received the Moldovan representatives.

Participants discussed ways to develop Moldovan-Belgian trade relations and identify new areas for bilateral cooperation. During the meeting, Sergiu Harea proposed organizing an exhibition of local products titled “Moldova Presents Itself in Belgium” and inviting Belgian companies to participate in economic events in Moldova, such as “Made in Moldova,” “Domestic Product,” and the “Pro-Industry” conference, to encourage experience exchange and cooperation in strategic industrial sectors.

Afterward, the CCI RM delegation met with Daniela Morari, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Mission of the Republic of Moldova to the European Union.

According to the CCI, discussions focused on the European Commission’s recently launched Growth Plan for the Republic of Moldova, emphasizing support for the agro-industrial sector, energy efficiency projects, and the expansion of economic cooperation with EU member states.

In the coming days, the Moldovan delegation will take part in the 7th edition of the European Parliament of Enterprises (EPE), organized by Eurochambres, the Association of Chambers of Commerce and Industry in Europe.

The event will gather hundreds of representatives from the European and international business community to discuss current challenges and opportunities for the European economy in the context of new policies on competitiveness, innovation, and the green transition.
