European Union Remains Principal External Economic Partner for Transnistrian Region Companies — The Political Reunification Office Details

In the first half of 2025, Transnistrian businesses exported 76.9% of their total external trade volume to European Union member states.

The Political Reunification Office reports that during the same period, imports from the EU accounted for 45.8% of all goods entering Moldova, according to protv.md.

According to the authorities, the region’s top export destinations are Romania, Italy, and Germany, while its main import partners are Ukraine, Romania, and Poland.

“These figures confirm a clear trend of strengthening economic ties between Transnistrian businesses and EU markets, keeping the EU as the region’s principal trading partner,” the Office stated.
