Moldovan President Maia Sandu has praised the leaders of Europe for their participation in the recent Political Community Summit held in Bulboaca. Sandu emphasized the need for strategic cooperation among the countries in the European Political Community to strengthen resilience in the face of security, energy, and climate challenges.
“We have all recognized that this European Political Community represents a unique opportunity for dialogue and bilateral relations. EPC allows us to see the best ways to benefit our citizens. Your participation makes us proud to have hosted this summit. It makes us confident in our democratic and free future. We have shown that we are a strong and united family of nations, making the continent more peaceful. You can always count on Moldova as an active member of the European family,” Sandu said.
The Moldovan president also highlighted the value of the Political Community Summit, saying that it demonstrates “how valuable the European Political Community is.” Referring to the war in Ukraine and her meeting with Ukrainian President Zelensky, Sandu added that the stability of the continent is currently at risk.
“We are united against the violation of international law. I told President Zelensky that we will stand by Ukraine as long as it is necessary. If it weren’t for Ukraine’s resistance and courage, my own country would have been threatened,” Sandu declared.
The summit concluded with a message of unity and strength among the European nations, with Sandu expressing her gratitude for the participation of all the leaders. The event served as a reminder of the importance of cooperation and collaboration in addressing the challenges facing the continent.
