Friday’s meeting of ministers began with the appointment of five new ambassadors. Decisions were voted by which new heads of diplomatic missions are sent to represent our country in Lithuania, Canada, Sweden, Qatar and Israel.
Emil Druc was recalled from Canada. The diplomat will arrive in Vilnius, where he will take over the management of the official representation of the Republic of Moldova.

In place of Druc, Sergiu Odainic is leaving. At the same time, Liliana Guţan from the UN office in Moldova was appointed ambassador to Sweden, diplomat Iulian Grigoriță – head of our country’s diplomatic mission in Qatar, and Alexandru Roitman – ambassador to Israel.
Natalia Gavrilița pointed out the importance of the diplomatic relations of the Republic of Moldova with the mentioned states. She pointed out that they support the Republic of Moldova, but also that in some of them we have a large diaspora.
