The embassy also emphasized Moldova’s European aspirations and democratic development.
“The path taken by sovereign and democratic Moldova commands admiration. The French soldiers marching today in Chisinau, led by the commander of the 12th Cuirassier Regiment, demonstrate our shared aspiration for a united, free and peaceful Europe,” the embassy said.
French military personnel are taking part in the Independence Day military parade in Chisinau’s Great National Assembly Square on August 27, alongside other partner delegations and troops, marking 35 years since Moldova declared its independence.
