The Netherlands will provide Moldova with €1.5 million, following a meeting between President Maia Sandu and Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten.

Rob Jetten stated that, after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Moldova has become a key partner for Ukraine and for Europe, and he reaffirmed Dutch support for Moldova’s European Union accession process.

“I pledged an additional €1.5 million in support for Moldova, focusing on cooperation in defense and strengthening Moldova’s cybersecurity and resilience against hybrid threats. Our close ties also create opportunities for further growth, including cooperation in horticulture and sustainable energy,” Rob Jetten said.

Maia Sandu is currently on an official visit to the Netherlands, where she is meeting with the prime minister, the minister of defense, and the minister of foreign affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
