German Ambassador Hubert Knirsch visited City Hall in Chisinau and met with Mayor Ion Ceban to discuss bilateral cooperation and development projects with direct impact on the municipality.
During the meeting, they also addressed the national water supply project for the districts of Calarasi District and Straseni District. Chisinau plays an essential role in this initiative by modernizing the Apa Canal water intake station in Vadul lui Voda, the City Hall press service reported.
Officials highlighted the contribution of the Government of Germany through the KfW Development Bank, which provides financial support and technical assistance for the implementation of the project.
Chisinau and Berlin continue to act as reliable partners and to develop joint strategic projects for the benefit of citizens, the local public administration stated.
