Moldova and France plan to recognize each other’s driving licenses. The Moldovan government has given the green light to start negotiations.
The authorities aim to simplify procedures for holders of documents issued in Moldova or France. According to Interior Minister Efros, both countries will benefit from signing the document.
“We are still expanding the list of agreements, which make life easier for our citizens in the diaspora,” Prime Minister Recean said.
Currently, the Republic of Moldova has signed agreements on the conversion of permits with several countries, including Turkey, Lithuania, Italy, Albania, and Spain, is negotiating similar documents with the governments of other countries, and has issued a joint declaration of intent with Germany on transcription of these types of documents.
