The Republic of Moldova will develop a modern electronic system to digitize the processes of registration, application, and examination of asylum and migration requests. The project, estimated at 470 million lei, is scheduled for implementation between 2026 and 2030.
The digital platform will integrate a shared database for all structures under the Ministry of Internal Affairs, ensuring efficient management of beneficiaries’ identities and processed files.
According to authorities, the new system will support a gradual transition from in-person to online services, reducing bureaucracy, increasing transparency, and minimizing corruption risks.
In addition, a unified electronic platform dedicated to migration and asylum will be launched to provide applicants with up-to-date information about legal procedures, their rights, and the status of submitted applications.
Through the digitalization of these services, the government aims to streamline case examination processes and enhance interaction between the state and foreign citizens or stateless persons residing in the Republic of Moldova.
