Igor Grosu, Speaker of Parliament, announced that he began his official visit to Austria with a meeting with Moldovans living in Vienna. According to him, the discussion was a heartfelt one. During the meeting, he spoke with citizens about the situation in the country, including the European path of the Republic of Moldova, the steps toward accession to the European Union, and ongoing justice reforms.
“Our Moldovans, regardless of distance, remain connected to everything happening at home and believe in a better future for Moldova,” Igor Grosu said.
Igor Grosu is paying an official visit to Austria from April 19 to 21 at the invitation of his counterpart, Walter Rosenkranz, President of the National Council of Austria.
In Vienna, the Moldovan official is scheduled to meet with the leadership of the Austrian Parliament—the presidents of the two chambers, Walter Rosenkranz and Markus Stotter—as well as with members of the Austria–Republic of Moldova Parliamentary Friendship Group.
The agenda focuses on strengthening Moldovan–Austrian relations, deepening parliamentary dialogue, and securing Austria’s support for Moldova’s European integration path.
