Igor Dodon, leader of the Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova, sent a congratulatory message to Rumen Radev, leader of the pro-Russian formation “Progressive Bulgaria,” following his victory in the parliamentary elections in Bulgaria.

“The result is a testament to the broad public support for their priorities and course toward strengthening statehood, social justice, national interests, restoring dialogue with Russia, as well as a more pragmatic and balanced approach to the European Union in decision-making. These priorities are close to us, the socialists, as well,” Dodon stated.

According to the reported results, Radev secured first place with 44.58% of the vote. This outcome gives his Progressive Bulgaria coalition an absolute majority of at least 132 seats in the 240-seat parliament.
