Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu is calling on Moldovans abroad to pre-register online to ensure they can vote closer to where they live in the parliamentary elections scheduled for September 28, 2025.
In a message posted on social media, Grosu emphasized the importance of civic participation:
“More than 113,000 Moldovans registered in previous elections. I’m sure we can be more. We decide what will happen to Moldova in the coming years.”
He stressed the equal rights of all Moldovans, whether living at home or abroad:
“However much some try to divide us into Moldovans at home and Moldovans in the diaspora, for us, we are one family with the same rights and dreams.”

He noted that previous registrations remain valid but asked those already registered to encourage others to sign up as well.

In a press conference on April 23, Grosu confirmed that postal voting will be available for the fall elections, noting it has already proven effective. He underlined the government’s responsibility to ensure the transparency and fairness of the process.
