Igor Grosu met Alen Simonyan and Masud Gharahkhani in Spain. What did they discuss

Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu discussed recent geopolitical developments with his Armenian counterpart, Alen Simonyan, at the Conference of Speakers of Parliaments of the European Union.

“Moldova stands firm in its support for Ukraine and condemnation of barbaric Russia’s war. We also stated that we are in the process of reform and doing it primarily to align ourselves with a world where peace and well-being reign,” Igor Grosu wrote on his Facebook page.

The Moldovan official also met with the Speaker of the Storting of the Kingdom of Norway, Masud Gharahkhani, during the conference of Speakers of Parliaments of EU Member States in Spain, with whom he discussed the parliamentary agenda and the reforms we are implementing.

“In recent years, we have closely cooperated with EU’s countries in economic or energy areas. Norway has also been with us and supported us in overcoming crises and in our country’s efforts to build a state based on the rule of law. In this context, I expressed my gratitude for the decision to open for the first time a Norwegian diplomatic office in Chisinau – a new important step in strengthening bilateral relations”, the Head of Parliament added.

Igor Grosu will attend the Conference of Speakers of Parliaments of the European Union on 21-24 April. The Royal Palace La Almudaina in Palma, Spain, hosted it.
