In the context of the official visit to Brussels, the President of the Parliament, Igor Grosu, met with a group of Moldovan citizens settled in the Kingdom of Belgium.
During the discussions, the President of the Parliament, Igor Grosu, spoke about the actions of the authorities and the reform agenda. “Although we have a more complicated political context, we are determined to carry out all the reforms started,” added the head of the legislature.
Also, the speaker referred to the efforts made by the authorities to achieve the goal of initiating negotiations for the accession of the Republic of Moldova to the European Union by the end of the current year. In this context, the President of the Parliament thanked the Moldovans settled in the Kingdom of Belgium because, on May 21, they came to the Embassy of our country in Brussels to express their desire to be part of the European family.
“The year 2023 must remain in history. For this, we must be united. Wherever we are, let’s work for the good of our country. With small, sure, united steps, we will succeed”, concluded the President of the Parliament, Igor Grosu.
Between July 3 and 5, the President of the Parliament is on an official visit to Brussels. Within it, the head of the legislature met with the leadership of the Parliament of the Kingdom of Belgium. The program of the visit also includes meetings with the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, with the European Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement, Olivér Várhelyi, with the European Commissioner for Cohesion and Reforms, Elisa Ferreira, as well as with several MEPs. Also, the head of the legislature met with the Deputy Secretary General of NATO, Mircea Geoană.
