Important information for citizens of Moldova! From January 1, 2025 Russia introduces restrictions on the stay of foreigners

The Embassy of the Republic of Moldova in the Russian Federation informs about the legislative changes regarding the temporary stay of foreign citizens on the territory of Russia. The provisions do not apply in the following cases:

According to the Foreign Ministry, these amendments concern foreign citizens entering the Russian Federation without a visa, including Moldovan citizens. For citizens traveling with a visa, the period of stay remains determined by the validity of the visa.

In this context, the Embassy “recommends Moldovan citizens to strictly comply with the new regulations on the length of stay in the Russian Federation, thus avoiding possible sanctions.”
