President Maia Sandu has conferred the “Order of Honor” to Luminita Odobescu for her achievements as Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania.
The distinction was awarded to the former head of Romanian diplomacy, currently State Counselor for Foreign Policy and Strategic Affairs in the Chancellery of the Prime Minister of Romania, in appreciation for her work in promoting the strategic partnership between Romania and Moldova and for supporting the Republic of Moldova on the European Union agenda.
At the same time, during his mandate, the Romanian Government supported the Republic of Moldova by integrating energy systems and supplying electricity from Romania at a capped price.

Also, thanks to her firm steps, Mrs. Luminita Odobescu contributed to promoting the opening of negotiations for the accession of the Republic of Moldova to the European Union.
