Several infrastructure projects are being carried out in the Republic of Moldova with European support. The government has voted to initiate negotiations and approve the signing of the Addendum to the Financing Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the European Union regarding the development of rural areas.
The project involves extending the execution period of the works specified in the main agreement. It concerns 18 infrastructure projects that were initiated in December 2017.
According to the Executive, the European Union and the Government of Germany have agreed to extend the implementation period of the EU Action at no cost until March 31, 2024.

“Today, we have completed 16 projects out of the 18 proposed under the EU Action. The completion of the last two projects for improving energy efficiency at the “Dimitrie Cantemir” Theoretical High School in Bălți and the “Alexei Mateevici” Theoretical High School in Șoldănești requires more time,” says Andrei Spînu.
As a result of the EU Action’s implementation, around 112,000 citizens will have access to water supply and sanitation services, and more than 5000 students and teachers will benefit from European study conditions.
