Irina Vlah: The opposition is discussing to nominate a single candidate for the presidential election

The opposition is discussing to nominate a single candidate for the presidential election. This was stated by ex-Bashkan of Gagauzia Irina Vlah in an interview for Unimedia.

“We are discussing the issue of a single candidate with different parties. Some leaders say they will run, and other leaders are in favor of a single candidate. There is a list of 10 people from different regions,” Iryna Vlakh told.

When asked by a journalist whether she was on the list, the politician said that she could not name specific names.

“I can’t give names now, but we are discussing. There may be a situation like in the elections in Chisinau when the opposition discussed anyway, but each went with its candidate. Maybe two or three parties will unite and put up their candidate. In the second round, I think all parties will unite,” Irina Vlah said.

Earlier, the ex-bashkan of Gagauzia said that the issue of participation in the elections is being discussed with her team, but they intend to take a final decision in May.
