Law enforcement agencies and electoral authorities in Moldova are joining forces to ensure the smooth conduct of the parliamentary elections scheduled for 28 September 2025. Minister of Internal Affairs Daniella Misail-Nichitin stated it during a broadcast on Radio Moldova.
The Minister acknowledged the heightened risk of destabilization during the electoral period, citing concerns over disinformation, protests, and attempts to manipulate public opinion or election results. She assured the public that state institutions stand ready to respond to such threats.
“All law enforcement bodies and electoral institutions are working together to guarantee a fair and orderly election,” said Misail-Nichitin. “We are actively preparing to reduce risks, including the potential manipulation of election outcomes. We remain vigilant against foreign interference, disinformation campaigns, and efforts to sway public opinion. Organized protests and destabilizing actions are likely, but we are ready to intervene.”
